Bone Health Basics Activity & Exercise for Healthy Bones

This participatory lecture/demo will teach you how weight-bearing exercises, with or without equipment, can increase bone strength, stave off bone loss, and prevent falls. Please wear loose fitting clothing. Make sure to reserve your space early.

Class Descriptions:


Working w/Weights: An aerobic warm-up, free-weights/resistance bands, and flexibility/stretch training.
 

Intermediate Tap:  Lambent Hughes Technique advancing to riffs, turns, pullbacks.  Includes a moderate TAPaerobics®component. 

 

Beginner Tap:  Lambent Hughes Technique with proper functional fitness basics. Learn to shuffle, flap, ball change and combine them to dance time-steps, softshoe, and waltz clog. 

 

Advanced Tap:  Performance combinations using the Lambent Hughes Technique.  Includes an intense TAPaerobics® component.


Jazz Stretch and Strengthen:  Barre and center floor work to enhance technique and comfort.

 

Balance and Bones™:  Maintain and regain bone density while improving posture and balance.


Exercise with Ease:  Moderately paced aerobic and strength training workout to keep you flexible, fit and moving.
